Angela (she/her) is a Vietnamese American residing in St. Paul working as one of AAOP’s Youth Leadership Coordinators to develop a training program to increase Asian youth in activism and organizing work. In 2021, she joined AAOP as a youth fellow and canvasser organizer. She wants to pursue a career to combat social justice issues caused by technology through policy-making and computer science. As a young Vietnamese woman who grew up hearing the stories of my family immigrating to America and witnessing the lack of Asian, especially Southeast Asian, representation in leadership roles, I am driven to ignite Asian youth into leaders and share the histories and issues that impact our community every day.
